How it’s worked out
Points are what each night takes on DVC’s published point charts for 2026 and 2027, the charts owners book with. Weekend nights take more, and so does high season.
Renting the points is what a broker charges to have an owner book the stay for you with their points, often called a custom rental: the points times the published rate per point. That’s $22 a point within 4 months of check-in and $23 within 7 months at every resort, and $22 to $35 a point further ahead, depending on the resort. We take the lower of David’s and DVC Shop’s published rates, read Aug 7, 2026. A broker’s own quote can differ.
Disney’s price is its published cash rack rate for the same villa, view and nights, tax included, from MouseSavers’ rate tables. Disney sometimes discounts rooms, which is why the page says how big a discount would have to be to match renting. Where Disney publishes no price for a villa or a night, the calculator says so instead of guessing.
